Succession War (1657-58 AD)

  • In the succession war, Jahan Ara supported Darashikoh, Roshan Ara took favour of Aurangzeb and Gauhan Ara favored Murad bakhsh. Shahshuja declared himself king in Bengal and Murad in Gujarat.
  • Aurangzeb was the Subedar of the South, he kept diplomatic silence.
  • Battle of Bahadurgarh (14 February 1658)
